What about Peace

"…let the peace of God rule in your hearts…." Colossians 3:15

Have your asked yourself these questions; Is my heart troubled? Anxious? Agitated? So many of us walk around with a smile on our face but the reality is this, we are anxious, troubled, agitated, in fear. Here is today thought...

Let peace rule today. Jesus told us we could. Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)

Unfortunately, for many people, living in strife, anxiety, agitation & fear is a way of life. Peace is the oddity. Jesus wants to turn that around in your life.

The ability to live in peace can be a way of life. In fact, we can get so used to living in peace – it's an oddity to experience anxiety, a troubled heart, strife or fear.

Sometimes, we'll have to "force" ourselves to surrender to peace. We have to choose to "let peace rule" – because at times our minds are filled with fear, overload, frustration and any number of "peace robbers."

Peace comes from keeping our minds on the Lord and His Word. "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." (Isaiah 26:3)

If you need Jesus' peace to rule your heart today, set your mind on Him. Don't allow any thought that is contrary to His character and His Word to have any place in your mind. So what is the result of focusing on His peace? God's perfect peace will rule!

Make this your prayer today:
"Father, I choose to surrender all of my anxious, fear-filled, and contrary thoughts to You right now. I fix my mind on Jesus. You are good, You can be trusted, and You are bigger than anything I am facing. Peace…rule my heart! Thank you for YOUR PEACE! In Jesus' Name. Amen."
